Let pleasing God be your goal. Often times we set goals for our career, our finances and material things. But we must never forget, that our ultimate goal should be pleasing God. He alone can give you the desires of your heart when your focus is on Him. Continue to praise Him, trust Him and dwell in presence. You will see that He will provide everything you need and more when you do His will. Rest in knowing that when you please God, He’ll please you. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Here are some scriptures to encourage you to let pleasing God be your goal.
- No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
- So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. (Romans 12:1)
- More than anything else, however, we want to please him, whether in our home here or there. (2 Corinthians 5:9)
- Instead, we always speak as God wants us to, because he has judged us worthy to be entrusted with the Good News. We do not try to please people, but to please God, who tests our motives. (1 Thessalonians 2:4)
